excited，exciting的用法及区别

这两个词都是excite的派生词，又都表示“兴奋”、“激动”之意，但含义和使用场合有所不同。

过去分词excited表示某人具有兴奋、激动的感觉，故其句中之主语必然是人，不可能是事物。若用英语诠释，excited相当于“full of strong，pleasant feelings；not calm”。例：

We are all very excited about the party which will be held at the Peninsula Restaurant tomorrow.我们都为明天在半岛酒家举行的派对而感到兴奋不已。

I was so excited that I couldn't fall asleep last night.我昨晚太兴奋了，一个晚上都没睡好。

Don't get excited！别激动！

有时候，excited可以表示“受了刺激而变得活跃”之意，此时，句中的主语可以是事物而不一定是人。例：

There was an excited buying and selling of stocks in Hong Kong today．今日香港股市买卖异常活跃。

现在分词exciting表示某事物具有能引起人兴奋或激动的能力，故其句中之主语是事物，而不是人。作定语时，它所修饰的词也不能是人，必须是事物。例：an exciting story，an exciting adventure，an exciting moment。如用英语诠释，exciting相当于“causing strong or pleasant feelings”。例：

That film is so exciting！那部电影非常激动人心！

I have a lot of exciting news to tell you today.今天我有许多令人兴奋的消息要告诉你。

That was really an exciting moment.那真是个令人兴奋的时刻。
